Book Review | Couture Prairie by Rachel Ashwell
Rachel Ashwell has a great new book out that’s all about her bed & breakfast in Texas. Her love affair with Texas started out with her yearly buying trips to this huge flea market in Round Top Texas. Year after year she would stay in the same Bed & Breakfast called “The Outpost” until, eventually, she bought it and renamed it “The Prairie”.
Rachel immediately began converting the old farmhouse and all its barns, sheds and outbuildings into cosy cottages for her guests. And she did not hold back here. This is no-holds-barred Shabby Chic decorating as only Rachel Ashwell can do it. She has unleashed her signature pastel colours, floral prints, painted distressed furniture and vintage accessories on every nook and cranny of the property.
This book has page after page of beautifully photographed eye candy for lovers of Shabby Chic style and nobody does Shabby Chic better than its founder.
The Shabby Chic Couture Store at The Prairie.
Staying at The Prairie would be like going to Shabby Chic camp, and that would be a good thing.
